Memorial’s Pastor, Rev. Dr. Joseph Agne (we just call him "Joe"), has spent his life championing human rights. He received a community service award from Westchester County Chapter of the New York Civil Liberties Union in 2002 in recognition of his long history working for racial and social justice. He has been arrested several times demonstrating against war and for human rights. He is committed to a balanced journey inward and outward, and encourages Memorial to give away half of its offering income. In May 2007 he received his doctorate in ministry from NY Theological Seminary.
Joan Meehan
Executive Director
Phone: 914-949-2146
E-mail: joan@memorialmethodist.org

Joan Meehan, our executive director, used to run her own business, a vintage housewares store called “Brother and Annie’s,” for a couple of years in Mamaroneck. Before that she worked for almost 14 years for Tommy Hilfiger. She came to Memorial because she didn’t want to work in a corporate environment anymore, but instead in a place where she felt her work would really make a difference. Joan lives in Mamaroneck with her ten-year-old son Connor.
George McCullough
Facilities Manager
Phone: 914-949-2146
E-mail: george@memorialmethodist.org

George McCullough maintains Memorial’s building and grounds. He has been doing business management for commercial buildings for 22 years. He says he tries to “keep the building going and try to improve it” while “driving the office manager crazy.” He’s often at his desk in the church office at 7 a.m.; later he’s out and about the grounds. He and his wife Anna Maria have a 4-year-old daughter Deanna. He’s a big Yankees and Giants fan and loves to vacation in Florida.
Carlton Maaia II
Minister of Fine Arts
Phone: 914-949-2146
E-mail: carlton@memorialmethodist.org

Carlton Maaia II directs our choir, provides music for our worship gatherings and Safe Space Ministry gatherings, and coordinates the new children's choir. A pianist and organist who attended the Oberlin Conservatory and Berkshire Community College, he served as Director of Music at Saint Mark’s Roman Catholic Church, and was musical director for a musical presented at the Berkshire Theatre Festival in Stockbridge, MA. He has also played jazz gigs, accompanying singers, leading a cabaret, teaching piano, expanding his solo piano repertoire and more. Catch him two Saturday nights a month at Dorry's Diner!
Reverend John Collins
Church and World Minister
Phone: 914-949-2146
E-mail: john.collins65@verizon.net

Rev. John Collins grew up in working class neighborhoods on Chicago's South Side. After a stint in the Navy during the Korean war and a brief legal career, he moved to New York to attend seminary. In the '60's John served a Black church in East Harlem and became involved in the civil rights and antiwar movements. After co-directing Clergy and Laity Concerned, a national peace and justice network, John pastored a church in the South Bronx for eight years. Since his retirement in 1994, he has been working on justice issues. He lives with his wife Sheila in New Rochelle.
Deaconess Dana Jones
Youth Minister
E-mail: danaellenjones@gmail.com

Dana Jones, who has been working with the confirmands and with children with the WOW (Wednesdays of Wonder) program, in the fall will join Greg Cortelyou in leading a dynamic new group for Memorial's youth! Dana was part of a youth group in Libertyville, IL, and was active in the Annual Conference Council on Youth Ministry (ACCYM) of the Northern Illinois Conference. She is a deaconess in the United Methodist Church, working as a volunteer at Memorial with youth and children.
Greg Cortelyou
Youth Minister
E-mail: chefgreg@mac.com

Greg Cortelyou is Executive Chef at the United Nations International School and does private chef work on the side. Here at Memorial he sings in the choir and is a member of the Worship and Arts Journey Group. Greg has been waiting for years for the opportunity to share some of his knowledge of food, cooking and sustainable agriculture with young people. That being said, he is really just a big kid himself and looks forward to having some fun with our youth. Some of the more memorable and valuable moments of Greg's life were spent in the youth choir and youth group of the Babylon Methodist Church in Babylon, Long Island. Greg says he hopes that he can use this leadership role to help create a space for our youth to have a similar enriching experience.
Lisa Hamm-Greenawalt
Coordinator of Communications
Phone: 914-777-7367
E-mail: lisa@memorialmethodist.org

Lisa has been a member of Memorial since 1999. She feels strongly about civil rights, and headed the Inclusiveness Committee that steered the church’s process of deciding to become a welcoming community. She spent almost 15 years reporting and editing for The Associated Press, and now has a creative communications business, doing graphic design, writing, editing, PR, acting and voiceovers. She lives in Mamaroneck with husband Bob and daughters Kyra and Lexie.
